On August 28–29, 2026, the Czech city of Milovice became the final stop of the “Journey of Memory,” a charity bike ride organized by the Italian group Alé Azzuri from Conegliano. The initiative aimed to honor World War I soldiers and raise funds for defibrillators. Starting from Conegliano on August 21, the cyclists traveled through Salzburg, Mauthausen, and Prague.
In Prague, the group visited the Italian Cultural Institute before riding to Milovice. On August 29, the participants toured the town hall and the military museum. Accompanied by representatives from the Italian Embassy in Prague and local officials, they laid wreaths at the International Military Cemetery to pay tribute to the 5,276 Italian WWI soldiers buried there.
